Golden Gopher Spotlight caught up with Stephanie Price, the number-one runner on Minnesota’s 19th-ranked women’s cross country team. Price started her Golden Gopher career as a walk-on and just two years later is among the top performers in the Big Ten Conference. She has twice been honored as the Big Ten’s Runner of the Week this fall.

Price opened the 2010 season by winning the Oz Memorial Run title before going on to a runner-up finish in the Griak Invitational. Perhaps her finest race of her career came in the 2010 Pre-NCAA Meet where she finished sixth overall in the White Race.

Minnesota travels to Verona, Wisconsin, this Sunday to compete in the 2010 Big Ten Cross Country Championships.
