BroGolden Gopher redshirt freshman Emily Brown captured the title in the Minnesota Open at the Les Bolstad Course on Friday. Brown covered the 5-kilomoeter course in a time of 18 minutes, 39 seconds.

Sophomore Carly Emil finished second with a time of 18:51, while junior Sarah Hesser placed third in 19:09.

Minnesota's next competition is the Big Ten Championships, Nov. 2 at Michigan State.
