The Minnesota women's cross country team recorded a perfect score of 15 points in winning the Oz Memorial Run at the Les Bolstad Course on Saturday. Redshirt freshman Em ily Brown paced the Golden Gopher sweep, capturing medalist honors with a time of 23 minutes, 7 seconds over the 6-kilometer course.

Completing the perfect score for the Golden Gophers was Ha rper McConnell in second (23:13), Je n Hess in third (23:15), Zo e Nagell in fourth (23:20) and La ura Bjork in fifth (23:29). Minnesota extended its dominance through the top nine spots with Ka trina Rundhaug placing sixth (23:41), Am y Lindner in seventh (23:41), Kr ista Anderson in eighth (23:53) and Stacia Kalinoski in ninth (24:00)

"We had some great individual performances, such as that of Ha rper McConnell, but as a team we didn't run exceptionally well," said Minnesota head coach Gary Wilson. "We have a lot of work to do before the Griak in two weeks."

The Golden Gophers are idle next week. Minnesota's next competition is on Sept. 27, when the Gophers host the Roy Griak Invitational.
