MINNEAPOLIS – The No. 25 Golden Gopher women's cross country team is set to host its annual Intrasquad Meet this Friday. The 5K race is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Les Bolstad Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.

An exhibition race, the meet gives the Gophers a chance to get reacquainted with their home course, and many of Minnesota's freshmen have the opportunity to race at Les Bolstad Course for the first time.

Fans planning to attend the Intrasquad Meet should be aware that Gopher soccer hosts Marquette at 5 p.m. Friday at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium. Parking will be available for both events in the Les Bolstad Golf Course main parking lot and driving range lot.

Next week's Oz Memorial marks the official start of the 2014 season. Minnesota will host Drake, Minnesota State and South Dakota State in its annual season-opening 6K meet at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 at Les Bolstad Course.
