WomenMinnesota's Rasa Michniovaite and Elaine Eggleston received Academic All-America honors from the Women's Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association.

Michniovaite, a junior majoring in biology, has a 4.0 grade point average. She was one of seven athletes listed with a 4.0 GPA. Michniovaite earned All-America honors by placing 16th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships in Lawrence, Kan., after winning the NCAA Midwest Region.

Eggleston, a sophomore majoring in biology, has a 3.60 grade point average. She placed eighth at the NCAA regional.

The Golden Gophers were ranked 19th as a team with a 3.39 GPA. Minnesota is the only Big Ten team listed in the ranking.
