2017 • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran six races • clocked a career-best 6K time of 22:15.8 as the eighth Gopher in 15th overall at Jack’s Run • led the attached Gophers at Rocky’s Run in 15th overall (23:56.6) and at the Tori Neubauer Invite in 14th overall (22:41.67) • placed 17th overall as the second Gopher at the Blugold Invite (22:45.2).

2016 • Freshman Season: Competed unattached at five meets.

High School: A 2016 graduate of Brookfield East High School where she competed for coaches Shannon Dierks, Heather Minton, and Kimberly Leupold • four-year letterwinner in track & field and cross country • four-time WIAA Cross Country Division 1 State Championship runner in cross country, helping Brookfield East to a sixth-place team finish as a senior in 40th place (19:46.95) for 5K • raced at the Nike Heartland Regional in 2014 and 2015 and the Footlocker Regional in 2013 • four-time All-Greater Metro Conference honoree in cross country, earning first team honors in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and second team honors in 2015 • all-area honorable mention in cross country in 2012 • academic all-state honoree in cross country in 2015 • holds Brookfield East HS record in the 5K (19:39.26) • has personal bests of 14:52 for 4K (2012) and 19:15 for 5K (2015) • named cross country team MVP in 2014 and track & field team captain in 2016 • on the track, a two-time WIAA Track & Field Division 1 State Championships qualifier, placing 11th in the 4x400m relay (4:02.46) as a senior and 18th in the 4x800m relay (9:47.66) as a sophomore • two-time All-Greater Metro Conference second team honoree for the distance medley relay in 2015 and 2016 • academic all-state honoree in track & field in 2016 • owns high school personal bests on the track of 64.43 for 400m (2016), 2:27 for 800m (2016), 5:20.84 for 1,600m (2016), 5:20.90 for the mile (2016), and 11:48.12 for 3,200m (2016).

Personal: Born February 26, 1998 • daughter of Jon and Leslie Werking • has three siblings, Rachel, Laura, and Evie • joins sister Laura on the Gopher women's track & field and cross country teams • intends to major in electrical engineering • enjoys doodling and swimming • National Honors Society honors graduate, 4.0 medallion winner, and a scholar athlete during high school • swam competitively with Elmbrook Swim Club.
