Minnesota celebrated the 2016 cross country season with its annual team awards banquet Sunday
Minnesota held its final home meet of the season at Les Bolstad Course Sunday morning
Twenty-one Gophers recorded career-best 6K times at Les Bolstad Friday evening
Naomi Ollila, Ally Smith, and Sarah Klecker earned top-20 individual finishes at the Tori Neubauer Invitational
Madeline Strandemo, Megan Hasz, Bethany Hasz, Bailey Ness, and Danielle Anderson made up the top five in the 5K race
2017 • Redshirt Junior Season: Did not compete.
2016 • Redshirt Sophomore Season: Ran in six meets this season • recorded a career-best 6K time of 23:18.2 at Jack’s Run.
2015 • Redshirt Freshman Season: Did not compete.
2014 • Freshman Season: Competed in two races as an unattached runner.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Watertown-Mayer High School • three-time state meet participant and three-time all-conference honoree in cross country • recorded a career-best finish at the 2011 Minnesota Class A state cross country championship, placing 60th in 16:04.7 as a sophomore • two-time academic all-state honoree in cross country • seven-time track & field state meet participant and two-time state champion • won 800m state title in 2:14.39 and helped Watertown-Mayer tie for 10th place in the team standings at the 2014 Minnesota Class A state track & field championship as a senior • won 4x800m relay state title in 9:31 as a sophomore and finished third as a junior and 10th as a freshman • finished fourth in 1,600m at state meet as a junior • conference champion in 4x800m (2011) and 300m hurdles (2013) • holds Watertown-Mayer school records in the 800m and 1,600m • also played basketball and volleyball in high school • National Honor Society member.
