2013 Senior Season: Named to Midwest All-Region team, All-Big Ten First Team, USTFCCCA All-Academic team and Academic All-Big Ten team raced in seven meets Minnesota's top runner at four meets led the Gophers and placed 61st overall at the NCAA Championship for her first top-100 NCAA finish of her career (20:58.2) finished ninth overall and third on the team at the Midwest Regional in a season-best 20:37.3 to earn all-region honors placed third overall and earned All-Big Ten first team honors at the Big Ten Championships, leading the Gophers in 21:03.9 won the Oz Memorial 6K in 21:48.0 led the Gophers and finished 11th overall at the Griak Invitational in 21:10.6 finished third overall and third on team at the SDSU Classic with a 5K time of 17:34.83 ran a 20:38 at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational as the Gophers' second runner in 48th overall earned fourth varsity letter.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Cretin-Derham Hall High School high school coach was Chris Babcock a two-time all-state runner in cross country placed 12th in the 2007 Minnesota Class AA Cross Country Championships, 25th in 2008 the 2008 Roy Griak Invitational Girls Gold Race runner-up a three-time all-state honoree in the 3200 meters placed third as a junior and fourth as a senior (10:56) graduated with honors.
Personal: Born August 19, 1991 majoring in marketing with emphases in retail merchandising and sustainability daughter of Jim and Bev Docherty both parents ran cross country and track at Iowa has siblings Jennie, Danny and Kevin Jennie (Iowa) and Danny (Loyola) were collegiate runners, and Kevin is a collegiate runner (Iowa) enjoys dancing, chocolate, animals, and Nike.
