Minnesota raced at the Blugold Invitational Friday
2015 • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran two races • ran a career-best 25:26.2 to place 14th on the team at the Blugold Invitational • placed 17th on the team in 25:35.34 at the Tori Neubauer Invitational.
2014 • Freshman Season: Did not compete.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Indianola High School • four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track & field • three-time all-conference honoree and two-time state qualifier in cross country • holds Indianola 4K school record • three-time all-state honoree in track & field • top-10 state finisher in 400m, 800m, 4x800m and 4x400m for track & field • earned career-best Iowa 4A state meet finishes of sixth in the 800m as a sophomore, sixth in the 400m as a sophomore, fifth in the 4x800m relay as a sophomore and fifth in the 4x400m relay as a junior • six-time Central Iowa Metropolitan League champion in the 800-meter run (2013, 2012), 400-meter dash (2014, 2013, 2012) and the distance medley relay (2011) • Junior Olympics national qualifier in 400m and 4x400m with Iowa Core Elite Track Club • two-year team captain in both cross country and track & field • also played soccer in high school • named a Commended National Merit Scholar and a member of the A honor roll.
Personal: Born July 3, 1996 • daughter of Todd and Karey Bishop • has one younger brother, Jackson • enjoys volunteering, baking and reading • intends to major in non-profit management with a minor in Spanish.
