High School: A graduate of Fergus Falls Kennedy Secondary School • three-time Minnesota state cross country participant • finished 11th in 2010 to earn all-state honors • four-time Minnesota state champion in the 800 meters • winning time in 2012 was 2:11.27 • six-time All-Central Lakes Conference cross country runner • 10-time conference champion in track: four in the 800m, two in the 400m, and four in relays • holds five school records • also a three-year letterwinner in basketball • scholar athlete award winner.
