Gophers Set for Big Ten Championships

Minnesota enters the meet ranked fourth in the conference.

2012 • Junior Season: Was an alternate at both the NCAA Midwest Regional and NCAA Championships • the Gophers' eighth runner (67th overall) at her first Big Ten Championships with a time of 21:44.0 • was the Gophers' first finisher (third overall) in the open race at the Wisconsin adidas Invite with a season-best time of 21:05 • ran at five meets overall • Academic All-Big Ten.

2011 Sophomore Season: Competed in one meet, racing to a fifth-place finish at the Oz Memorial in 22:35.

2010 • Redshirt Freshman Season: Competed in six races • ran her best time of 23:05.2 at the Neubauer Invitational.

2009 • Freshman Season: Redshirted the season.

On the Track: Will be a junior in 2012 • competes in the mile, 3,000m, and 5,000m.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Marian High School • high school coaches were Roger Wright, Greg Golka and Dan Nielsen • the Nebraska state winner of the Gatorade Athlete of the Year in cross country (2008) and track (2009) • led Marian to three state cross country titles • the Nebraska Class A cross country champion (14:57.7) as a senior • placed 4th at 2008 Nike Heartland Region Championships and qualified for Nike Cross Nationals in Portland • went on to place 11th at Foot Locker Midwest Region Championships • state runner-up in 2006 and 2007, fourth as a freshman in 2005 • 2009 state champion in the 3,200 meters (11:19.64), runner-up as both 2007 and 2008 • a member of the National Honor Society and Class Officer.
