2017 • Redshirt Freshman Season: Ran eight races • ended the season ranked 34th on Minnesota’s all-time top-50 6K performers list (21:13.57) • placed among the top nine Gophers at all eight meets • ran a career-best 6K time of 21:13.57 at the NCAA Midwest Regional, placing 50th overall and fourth on the team • ran a career-best 5K time of 17:45.58 at the Greater Louisville Classic, placing 77th overall and seventh on the team • placed 231st overall and seventh on the team at the NCAA Championship (22:02.27) • finished 39th overall and fifth on the team at the Big Ten Championship (21:26.2) • made Gopher debut at the season-opening Indiana Open 5K, placing 29th overall as the eighth Gopher (18:32.1) • won the Oz Memorial in 22:35.6 • led the Gophers and placed 26th overall in the open race at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invite (21:42.1).
2016 • Freshman Season: Competed unattached at five meets.
High School: A 2016 graduate of Ballard High School in Huxley, Iowa, where she competed for coaches Scott Barth, Marian Kohut, Mike Carr, and Jenna Nosekabel • four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track & field • earned four top-eight finishes at the Iowa High School Cross Country 3A State Championship, including a runner-up finish as a junior in 2014 (14:55 for 4K), fifth-place finishes in both 2013 (15:02 for 4K) and 2015 (19:20 for 5K), and an eighth-place showing as a freshman in 2012 (15:01 for 4K) • led Ballard to a fifth-place team finish at the state championship as a junior in 2014 and took 14th as a team as a senior in 2015 • four-time Raccoon River Conference champion in cross country • owns high school cross country personal bests of 14:35 for 4K (2013) and 18:40 for 5K (2015) • nine-time state meet qualifier on the track, competing in the 800m, 1,500m, and 3,000m and collecting six top-five finishes • won the 3,000m (10:08.29), was runner-up in the 1,500m (4:41.27), and took third in the 800m (2:15.42) to lead Ballard to a seventh-place team finish at the 2016 Iowa High School Track & Field 3A State Championship • placed third in the 800m (2:16) and seventh in the 1,500m (4:50) at the state championship as a junior in 2015 • took fifth in both the 800m and 1,500m at the state meet as a sophomore in 2014 • finished sixth in the 1,500m and 11th at the state meet as a freshman in 2013 • eight-time Raccoon River Conference champion in track & field, earning three titles in both the 800m and 1,500m • holds Ballard HS records in the 800m, 1,500m, and 3,000m • owns high school personal bests of 2:15.4 in the 800m, 4:40 in the 1,500m, 5:07 in the mile, and 10:08 in the 3,000m, all set in 2016.
Personal: Born June 24, 1998 • daughter of Marian Kohut and David Jackson • has two siblings, Luke and Noah • intends to major in Neuroscience and Spanish • mother Marian ran one year collegiate cross country and track & field at the University of Chicago • father David ran four years of collegiate cross country and track & field at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point • was valedictorian of her class at Ballard High School • National Merit Finalist, National Honor Society member, and honor roll student • competed in figure skating for eight years and participated in band and chorus during high school.
