Minnesota will host No. 6 Penn State on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. and No. 7 Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. The Golden Gophers enter the week ranked No. 5 in the nation, have a 21-3 overall record and are tied for second in the Big Ten with Penn State at 10-2. Ohio State is in first place in the Big Ten with an 11-1 conference record. The Nittany Lions enter the week with a 19-2 overall record, while the Buckeyes are 21-1. Minnesota enters the week with a 12-match home-winning streak dating back to Nov. 29. 2003. The Golden Gophers won their last three home matches last year, and are 9-0 at home in 2004. Minnesota is just one match from tying the school record for most consecutive home wins at 13. That record was set last year from Sept. 6-Nov. 15. Minnesota has won 25 of its last 26 home matches with its only loss coming to Penn State in that span. The Golden Gophers enter the week with a 5-0 Big Ten home record. Minnesota has never finished undefeated at home in Big Ten play. Entering the week, the Golden Gophers are tied for the fifth-longest home-winning streak in the nation.
