The Minnesota volleyball team moved is ranked No. 13 in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday, Oct. 27. The Golden Gophers received 775 points in this week’s poll.
Minnesota has been ranked No. 13 or better in every poll this season. The Golden Gophers are the second-highest ranked team in the Big Ten.
This past week, Minnesota defeated Ohio State in three sets on the road and lost at No. 20 Michigan.
Minnesota is among six Big Ten teams that were ranked in this week’s poll. Penn State is No. 1, Illinois is No. 17, Michigan is No. 18, Purdue is No. 20 and Wisconsin is No. 25. The Big Ten has the second most teams behind the Pac-10 in the top 25 with six.
The Golden Gophers will be back in action when they travel to No. 1 Penn State on Friday, Oct. 31 at 6 p.m. (CT). Minnesota will also face Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. (CT). Both matches can be heard live on gophersports.com.
