Minnesota’s meeting against No. 11 Wisconsin features a matchup between the second and third place teams in the Big Ten. The Golden Gophers currently sit in second place in the conference at 7-1, while the Badgers are third at 6-2. Minnesota’s 7-1 conference start matches its best in school history. It is the sixth time they have recorded a 7-1 start in the first eight matches of the Big Ten.

The Golden Gophers are coming off a week that saw them go 2-0 against Indiana and No. 9 Purdue. Minnesota won in three games over the Hoosiers at the Sports Pavilion, and defeated the ninth-ranked Boilermakers in four games at Williams Arena on Oct. 14.

Minnesota will also travel to Iowa on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
