The Minnesota volleyball team was ranked No. 13 in the CSTV/AVCA Top 25 poll, which was released on Monday, Oct. 15. Minnesota received 699 points in this week’s poll.

Minnesota has been ranked in 81 of the last 88 polls dating back to 2002. The Golden Gophers have also been ranked the last 18 weeks dating back to the middle of the 2006 season.

This past week, Minnesota lost to Wisconsin in three games at the Sports Pavilion. The Golden Gophers also dropped a four-game match to Illinois at home.

Minnesota was among four Big Ten teams that were ranked in this week’s poll. Penn State is No. 2, Wisconsin sits at No. 8 and Michigan is No. 15. The Big Ten has four of the top 16 teams in the top 25 in this week’s poll.

The Golden Gophers will travel to Northwestern on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. Minnesota will also face Michigan State on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
