telThe Minnesota-Illinois volleyball match on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. will be broadcast on a tape-delayed basis on ESPN 2 on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 1:30 p.m. (CT). The match is part of the Big Ten television package.
Minnesota enters the weekend in third place in the Big Ten at 5-1. The Golden Gophers are ranked No. 9 in the nation, and bring a 15-2 overall record into the weekend. Eighth- ranked Wisconsin is in second place at 6-1, after defeating Northwestern on Wednesday. Fourth-ranked Penn State is in first place at 6-0.
The Golden Gophers will face No. 21 Purdue on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. Minnesota will then face Illinois on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. Purdue enters the week tied for fourth at 3-3 in the Big Ten, while Illinois is 2-4 in conference play.
Minnesota enters this weekend having won 12 of its last 13 matches, and five straight Big Ten contests.
The Golden Gophers will also have two other matches on Comcast Chicago as part of the Big Ten package. Minnesota’s first match on Comcast Chicago will be against No. 19 Ohio State on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. That match will be televised on a tape-delayed basis on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. The Golden Gophers will also be on Comcast Chicago when they face Penn State on Friday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. That match will be televised on a tape- delayed basis on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 4:30 p.m.
