The Minnesota volleyball team will head to Indiana to play the Hoosiers on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. The Golden Gophers enter the match with a 14-2 overall record and a 4-1 Big Ten record. Minnesota sits in third place behind Penn State and Wisconsin who have both started out 4-0 in conference play. The Nittany Lions and Badgers will meet on Oct. 8 in Wisconsin this week. Indiana enters the match 8-8 overall and has a 1-3 conference mark this season. Minnesota will be playing its second conference match of the week after winning a three-game match against Iowa on Oct. 5.

Entering the week, Minnesota had the second-lowest opposining hitting percentage in the nation. The Golden Gophers dropped it to .098 after 16 matches by limiting Iowa to a .043 hitting percentage. Washington is the only team in the nation holding opponents to a lower hitting percentage this year at .084 heading into the week. Wichita State (MVC) is third at .108, Towson (CAA) is fourth at .112 and Wisconsin is fifth at .119.
