Sophomores Brook Dieter (Bloomington, Minn.) and Lauren Gibbemeyer (St. Paul, Minn.) were both named to the Honolulu Advertiser All-Tournament.
Dieter averaged 2.88 kpg, 1.38 dpg and 1.25 blpg at the Honolulu Advertiser Challenge. She had 13 kills, 10 digs and three blocks in a five-set loss to No. 11 Hawai’i. Dieter also hit .421 with 10 kills and tied a career-high seven blocks in a three-set victory over Cincinnati. She was also named the MVP of the Bluejay Invitational the previous week.
Gibbemeyer averaged 2.36 kpg and 1.91 blpg in three matches at the tournament. She had 11 kills and 10 blocks against Hawai’i. Gibbemeyer also hit .500 (7-1-12) with seven kills and six blocks against Cincinnati. She also hit .438 (8-1-16) with eight kills, five blocks and two service aces against Wyoming.
