No. 11 Minnesota upset No. 4 Texas at the Sports Pavilion, led by junior Katherine Harms who had a career-high 17 kills. Tori Dixon and Ashley Wittman were also in double figures, each earning 11 kills. Dixon also contributed three service aces, a career-best.

Minnesota win was just the second victory against a top-four ranked team in program history. The Gophers also beat a No. 4 team in 2008, winning over the fourth-ranked Cal Golden Bears in the Diet Coke Classic.

Texas struggled, hitting .120 for the match. The Longhorns out-blocked the Gophers with 7.5 blocks to Minnesota's three.
