I came to Minnesota because...
I love the city of Minneapolis. The program here was really competitive and everyone has the same dream. To be here and pursuing that dream with this group is great. My gut told me that I could kind of have a re-birth here. I also came to Minnesota because it was a little closer of a flight home.

Clay-lee-yah Day-fay-lee-chay...
is how I pronounce my name.

My name gets mispronounced...
Pretty much everywhere in the U.S. In Italy, you pronounce as you read it, where in the U.S., there can be some different pronunciations. It's kinda cool because I have an American nickname (Cle) and an Italian nickname (Clay).

Here at Minnesota, I am most looking forward to...
Starting the season! I have had a lot of time to go and explore the city. I absolutely love Uptown and the city of Minneapolis.

I am interested in majoring in...
Both political science and marketing. That's a hard combination so I'll have to see how the season works with that. My major interest is in marketing and I think I'd like to look outside of sports.

My favorite place to eat in Minneapolis...
Is this place called Café Lurcat. (Associate head coach) Laura (Bush) took me there when I was on my recruiting visit. Back home is a sushi restaurant called Hama.

My best volleyball memory has been...
When I was called by Team Italy when I was 14. But the game that I most remember was when I was still playing with Italy and it was my last year with Under-18s. We won the game over a junior team that was like us. We got to the final tournament in Italy. That was my favorite moment ever.

If I wasn't playing volleyball, I would be...
Well, that's a tough one since I've been playing volleyball since I was seven. I'd probably be studying and working.

My favorite book is...
One Day. It's a good one, and now it's also a movie. It was a really nice book and the book written by Andre Agassi, Open.

My favorite movie is...
Stick It because I wanted to be a gymnast and then I realized that I was too tall. I also like the Great Gatsby movie that just came out, I just love it. I am so into fashion and I love all the clothes and jewelry in it.
