The Minnesota volleyball team will have five matches broadcast on the Big Ten Network during the 2009 season according to an annoucement from the conference office and the Big Ten Network on Thursday, July 30.
Minnesota will play three of those matches on the road, and will host two of the televised matches. The first television match for the Golden Gophers will be at the Sports Pavilion against two-time defending National Champion Penn State on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1 p.m.
The Golden Gophers' match against Illinois on Friday, Oct. 16 will be carried on a tape-delayed basis on Sunday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. (CT). Minnesota's return trip to Penn State on Friday, Oct. 30 will also be carried on a tape-delayed basis on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. (CT).
Minnesota will also host Purdue on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. (CT) in a match that will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. The Golden Gophers fifth televised match will be on Saturday, Nov. 21 at Michigan State. That match will be shown on a tape-delayed basis on Sunday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. (CT).
