Gopher Volleyball Hosts Spring Tournament

The University of Minnesota volleyball team competed in its home tournament and hosted seven teams, April 20, at the Sports Pavilion. Minnesota won all three matches contested.

The Pavilion was divided into two courts. On Court 1, it was Minnesota, Minnesota Crookston, Ohio and Wisconsin. The second court, it was Northern Iowa, Concordia St. Paul, Iowa State and North Dakota. The Gophers opened the day with a win over Ohio, 25-23, 25-16. After a lunch break, Minnesota competed against Minnesota Crookston and won, 25-13, 25-9. Two Big Ten rivals, Minnesota and Wisconsin, competed in the final match of the day and won, 25-21 and 26-24.
