spriThe Minnesota volleyball team finished the road portion of its spring volleyball schedule with a four-game loss at Nebraska by scores of 25- 30, 28-30, 30-24, 24-30.
Minnesota will finish its spring schedule with a match against Nebraska on Saturday, Apr. 24 in the Sports Pavilion at 6 p.m. Admission to the match is free to the public.
"Overall I thought this was our best effort of the spring," said Minnesota head coach Mike Hebert. "We passed well, served well and played well defensively. Our attack is still a little error prone, but as a whole I think our team has done a good job of continuing to improve with each week of competition."
The Golden Gophers played in the CSU Tournament in Fort Collins, Colo. and in the UCSB Tournament in Santa Barbara, Calif. prior to tonight's match at Nebrasaka.
Minnesota will start the regular season in Fort Collins, Colo. at the NACWAA Tournament on Friday, Aug. 27 and 28. The Golden Gophers will be joined by two-time defending national champion USC, Georgia Tech and host Colorado State. Matchups have yet to be determined.
