The Minnesota volleyball team continued to have a strong spring season as it went 2-0-1 at the Iowa State Spring Tournament on Saturday, Apr. 14, 2007.

Minnesota swept two games from Northern Iowa 30-21 and 30-22, split a pair of games with South Dakota State 30-27 and 21-30 and won 2-1 over Iowa State 30-20, 25-30 and 30-26.

Last week, the Golden Gophers won five of the seven games they played against Iowa State at the Sports Pavilion.

Minnesota also won six of the eight games it played in a tournament featuring Florida, Notre Dame and Washington State in the first week of the spring season.

“After three weekends of play in the spring season, I think we are really starting to play very consistently,” said Minnesota Head Coach Mike Hebert. “I am really pleased, because we entered the spring looking to play at a consistent level. I think we have accomplished that so far.”
