MinnThe Minnesota volleyball team will begin its Spring Schedule on Apr. 9 when it travels to Nebraska to face the Cornhuskers. That match will begin a three-week spring schedule for Minnesota.

Minnesota heads to Lincoln, Neb. to face the Cornhuskers on Saturday, Apr. 9 at 7 p.m. Following that match, the Golden Gophers will travel to Marquette Tournament on Apr. 16.

The Golden Gophers will finish their spring schedule on Saturday, Apr. 23 when they host Northwestern and Nebraska at the Sports Pavilion.

Minnesota will begin a day that will feature three matches, with a match against Nebraska at 10 am.. The second match of the day will feature Northwestern and Nebraska at 2 p.m. The Golden Gophers will finish the day off with a match against Northwestern at 6 p.m. Admission to all three matches are free.

The Golden Gophers are coming off a season in which they were 33-5 and advanced to the first national championship in the program’s history. Minnesota became just the 12th team in the history of the NCAA Tournament to play in the national championship match.

Minnesota returns seven letterwinners from the 2004 team, including two First-Team All- Americans in Kelly Bowman (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Paula Gentil (Forteleaza Ceara’, Brazil).
