The Minnesota volleyball team will play in three tournaments during its 2011 spring season.

Minnesota will compete in its first spring tournament on Saturday, Mar. 26 when it heads to Iowa State to face host Iowa State, Northern Iowa and Wayne State. The Gophers will travel to their second spring tournament when they head to Wisconsin on Saturday, Apr. 2. Minnesota will compete in that tournament along with Iowa, Marquette, Michigan Tech, Milwaukee, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Wisconsin-Green Bay and host Wisconsin.

The Gophers will wrap up the spring schedule at home when they host a tournament at the Sports Pavilion on Saturday, Apr. 16. That tournament will include Iowa, North Dakota, North Dakota State and Wisconsin.

Minnesota returns 10 letterwinners from the 2010 season, including All-Freshmen team members Tori Dixon and Ashley Wittman. The Gophers will also welcome Kellie McNeil who graduated early to compete with Minnesota on the spring season.
