The University of Minnesota had three individuals garner All-America honors, announced today by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
Minnesota honored its seniors Maddie Beal, Alyssa Goehner, Molly Lohman and Dalianliz Rosado this weekend.
Leading the team in total blocks since her sophomore season, Molly Lohman even sits in second place for total blocks in a single season.
Minnesota earned a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-21, 25-23) over No. 16 Purdue, Wednesday night at Maturi Pavilion.
Lohman, Seliger-Swenson and Martin receive weekly B1G honors after a pair of wins over Wisconsin and Michigan.
2017 • SENIOR SEASON: North Region honorable mention • Preseason All-Big Ten selection • Minnesota’s Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree • finished career with 530 career blocks,. which ranks fifth in school history • played in both matches during the opening Big Ten/ACC Challenge and collected a team-best 10 blocks (Aug. 25-26) and had eight kills • named to the Diet Coke Classic All-Tournament Team when she had 17 kills, hit .625 and had seven blocks • had 18 blocks and hit .372 during the American Campus Classic • had 17 kills and eight blocks in the Boise State Classic • set a school record 14 blocks in a match and was later named the Co-Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week • hit .583 against Iowa and had nine kills • had a match-best seven blocks, four kills and an ace in the win over Wisconsin • produced 10 blocks, five kills and an ace in the 3-0 win over Michigan • later named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after the Wisconsin/Michigan wins • hit .636 and had seven kills in the win over Purdue • posted a match-best nine blocks in the home Iowa win • had six blocks in the home win against Wisconsin • reached 500 career blocks in the win over Ohio State • had three aces in the first round of the NCAA tournament against North Dakota • produced eight blocks, an ace and hit .455 (11-1-22) in the win over Northern Iowa during the NCAA Second Round.

Competed at Mankato West High School• an all-state selection as a senior was also an all-conference selection as she helped Mankato West to a Big 9 conference title • had 115 blocks as a senior and ranked second in the state of Minnesota, while her 365 kills ranked ninth • finished her scholastic career with 853 kills, 51 assists, 94 aces, 250 blocks and 307 digs • has been on the A-honor roll every semester.
