Florida State became the first ever ACC team to advance to the National Semifinals as it defeated Iowa State in five sets by scores of 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 19-25, 15-11 in the regional finals on Saturday, Dec. 10.

The No. 19 ranked Minnesota Gophers lost in four sets to No. 14 Iowa State Friday night at the Sports Pavilion (18-25, 25-23, 25-15, 31, 29). The loss puts an end to a 20-12 season for the Gophers. It also was the last game for seniors, Hailey Cowles, Ariana Filho and Jessica Granquist.
