The Minnesota women’s track and field team will be down at Iowa State in the ISU Classic this weekend. Action gets underway this afternoon with Jess Herauf and Nicole Murphey participating in the pentathlon at 12:30 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Christina DeLakis continued her hot streak in the shot put for the Minnesota women’s track and field team. The redshirt freshman finished third overall with a toss of15.52m (50-11). Her distance now ranks her sixth in Gopher history.
Also picking up a new personal best was Katie Murgic in the pole vault. Murgic cleared 3.86m (12-8) which ties her for ninth overall in Gopher history.
In the 3,000m Minnesota had a couple of runners set new personal best times. Ashlie Decker came in at seventh (9:36.88) and Katie Moraczewski took ninth (9:38.7) for Minnesota.
THE GOLDEN GOPHER COACHING STAFF
Matt Bingle is in his sixth season as the Golden Gophers head women’s track & field coach. He was promoted to Director of Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country during the offseason. Bingle heads an extremely experienced coaching staff that includes assistants Gary Wilson (Distance) Lynne Anderson (Throwers), Sarah Hesser (Distance) and Caroline White(Pole Vault).
