Gopher DMR Wins Title at Notre Dame's Meyo Invite

 

The Minnesota distance medley relay of Nikki Swenson, Alena Brooks, Jamie Dittmar and Elizabeth Yetzer captured the title at Notre Dame’s Meyo Invitational in South Bend, Inv., on Friday evening. The foursome clocked an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 11 minutes, 15.70 seconds, the sixth-fastest mark in Gopher history and second-fastest in the nation this season.

DeAnne Hahn notched an NCAA provisional mark in the weight throw, landing a personal best distance of 62 feet, 1 inch to place sixth. That mark ranks fourth in Minnesota history.

Mallory Van Ness provided the individual highlight on the track placing fifth in the 5,000-meter run in a personal-best time of 16:58.15.

The meet continues with a full day of events on Saturday.
