Minnesota Completes Second Day of Competition at Drake Relays
Brunn ran with both Gopher relay teams today.

The Golden Gophers ran in two races on their second day of competition in the Drake Relays. There is one day of events left in Des Moines.
 
The distance medley relay team of Cassy Opitz, Heather Brunn, Katie Hill, and Katie Moraczewski finished seventh (11:39.89) in the university division race Friday afternoon. At night, Minnesota’s 4x800-meter relay squad of Kathryn Ritter, Lauren Domski, Megan Smith, and Brunn finished eighth (8:57.40).

Paige Orcutt
is scheduled to compete in the 3,000m steeplechase tomorrow at 11:10 a.m. Results are available here.

The Golden Gophers will also begin competition at the Steve Scott Invitational (Irvine, Calif.) on Saturday. Live results are available for the UC-Irvine meet.
The Janis Rider Invitational at Macalester, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been pushed back to Sunday due to weather forecasts for tomorrow. Click here for the meet schedule and heat sheets.

Recapping Thursday:
The 4x1,600 team of Moraczewski, Molly Kayfes, Ashlie Decker, and Laura Docherty finished second (19:17.71) just behind Iowa. Watch video of the race here via Flotrack.

Also on Thursday, Annie Talajkowski, Claire Rindo, and Andrea Rediger ran in the 10,000, and Rachel Drake ran the 5K.
