ATHENS, Ga. - Minnesota won four event titles, including the 4x100-meter relay, 400-meter hurdles, 3,000-meter steeplechase and 1,500-meter run as the Gophers wrapped up the weekend at the Spec Towns Invitational hosted by the University of Georgia on Saturday.

The Gophers' 4x100m team of Akuoma Omeoga, Megan Geyen, Jessica Waldvogel and Erin Hawkins clocked a season-best 45.29 to rank fourth in the Minnesota all-time ranks and finish first at the meet.

Sophomore Frances Conlin won the 400m hurdles in 1:01.34, and fellow sophomore Kate Bucknam took home top honors in the 3,000m steeplechase, finishing in 10:50.31. Redshirt freshman Taylor Mikkalson came in second in the steeplechase in 11:07.76 as the duo made their outdoor debuts.

Senior Kaitlin Mincke won the 1,500m in a career-best 4:29.85 and led a charge of six Gophers in the top nine. Senior Cassy Opitz finished third (4:34.14), sophomore Anne Ferguson was fourth (4:35.65), redshirt freshman Haley Johnson was fifth (4:35.84), sophomore Andie Zeman was sixth (4:36.87) and sophomore Stacey Swatek was ninth (4:39.01).

The 100-meter dash saw Hawkins (12.04) and Omeoga (12.06) finish eighth and ninth, respectively. The pair also ran the 200-meter dash as Hawkins finished sixth in 24.23 to rank ninth all-time, and Omeoga was 11th in 24.91.

Senior Te'Shon Adderley finished third in the 800-meter dash in 2:10.42, and junior Lauren Domski was fifth in 2:12.47.

Minnesota ran two 4x400-meter relay teams. The team of Markland, Adderley, Waldvogel and Geyen finished second overall in 3:38.64, the third-best time in Gopher history, while Kat Keller, Ferguson, Domski and Conlin clocked a 3:54.79 for fifth place.

Freshman Nicolle Murphy took second in the javelin with a career-best throw of 161-10 (49.32m) to improve her ninth-place mark in Gopher history. Junior Rachel Melum finished fifth (143-05, 43.71m) and freshman Maria Run Gunnlaugsdottir was sixth (133-04, 40.63m) as well.

Senior Katie Loberg finished third in high jump at 5-03.25 (1.61m). In the pole vault, sophomore Cami Gilson was third (12-11.50, 3.95m) and junior Katie Murgic was fifth (12-05.50, 3.80m).

Junior Devin Stanford finished second in the discus with a season-best throw of 165-11 (50.58m). Redshirt freshman Angie Guenther (158-10, 48.41m) and Megan Petermann (149-02, 45.48m) were fourth and seventh, respectively.

The Bulldog Heptathlon also concluded on Saturday after four events were contested on Friday. Sophomore Jess Herauf finished fifth with 5,444 points to rank second all-time in Gopher history after ending day one in seventh. Sophomore Amanda Beckman ended up ninth with 4,801 points and redshirt freshman Audra Winter finished 11th (4,724).

Herauf won the javelin with a throw of 151-11 (46.30m) to rank 10th all-time in Gopher history. She also finished second in the 800m at 2:14.78 and took ninth in the long jump at 17-09.50 (5.42m).

Beckman was eighth in the long jump with a leap of 17-10.25 (5.44m) and ninth in the javelin with a season-best mark of 110-01 (33.56m). She clocked a 2:30.32 in the 800m. Meanwhile, Winter jumped 17-00.00 (5.18m) in the long jump and was 11th in the javelin at 101-04 (30.88m). She recorded a 2:30.38 in the 800m.

A number of Gophers competed unattached at Concordia-St. Paul's Holst Invitational on Saturday as well. Minnesota is set to compete at the Carleton Relays next Saturday, April 19, in Northfield, Minn.
