The Gophers Heather Brunn hit a new personal best time of 2:11.23 in the 800m this afternoon, along with Molly Kayfes in the 3,000m (9:36.05) at the ISU Classic. Minnesota wrapped up their weekend in Ames, IA with some strong team performances.
Ashlie Decker (4:49.31), Laura Docherty (4:49.31) finished in the top 10 in the mile today. Katie Moraczewski clocked in at 4:51.74 and Rachel Drake ran a 4:53.58. All four times were new personal best for the Gophers.
“It was a great day for our distance group today,” head coach Matt Bingle said. “We had some people take a step forward and that is what we need out of this group. We will work hard this week and get ready to compete next weekend at home.”
Minnesota will be at home for the final time this season this Saturday with the Parents Day Open.
Spagnola Makes It Six
