2008 Season - Indoor: All-Big Ten Second Team • anchored the runner-up distance medley relay (11:30.11) that notched the fifth-best time in Gopher history • added a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters (2:10.05) with seventh-fastest time in school history • the Gophers' alternate for the DMR at the NCAA Championships • ran an NCAA provisional time of 4:47.31, the seventh best in school history, in the mile at the Iowa State Classic. High School: A 2007 graduate of Dawson-Boyd High School • high school coaches were John Shurb, John Kvaal and Sheri Hanson • a two-time Minnesota Class A cross country champion, capturing medalist honors as a freshman in 2003 and as a senior (14:23.6) in 2006 • state runner-up in 2004 and 2005 • six-time state track champion, three coming in the 1,600 meters • triple titlist as a senior winning the 400 meters (57.01), the 1,600 meters (4:58) and the 3,200 meters (11:00) • won the 2006 state crown in the 800-meter run (2:12.08) and runner-up accord in the 1,600-meter run (4:53.67) • was a double winner in 2005, winning the 400 meters and 1,600 meters in leading her team to a first-place finish with just two athletes competing • added a second-place finish in the 3,200 meters that season • won the first of her two 1,600 meters titles and placed second in the 3,200 meters as a freshman • earned six letters in both cross country and track • played point guard on the basketball team, earning three all-conference honors and scoring 963 career points • graduated third in her class with a 3.96 grade point average.
