The Gophers totaled 283 Academic All-Big Ten honorees for the 2015-16 academic year.
2016 Season - Indoor: Competed in the shot put at six meets and the weight throw at two meets • threw a career-best 15.79m (51-09.75) to place fifth in the shot at the Big Ten Championship and move into sixth in Minnesota history • won shot put at the Parents Day Invite and Minnesota Open • finished seventh in the weight throw with a career-best throw of 16.61m (54-06.00) at the Minnesota Open.
2016 Season - Outdoor: Named USTFCCCA All-Academic team honoree and Academic All-Big Ten honoree • competed at 10 meets with eight appearances in shot put, seven in discus, and three in hammer throw • placed 19th in the shot put in a career-best 15.92m (52-02.75) at the NCAA West Prelim, moving into fifth in program history • threw 14.87m (48-09.50) in shot put to place 11th at the Big Ten Championship • threw a career-best 48.88m (160-04) in the discus to place sixth at the Rock Chalk Classic • recorded a season-best throw of 48.53m (159-03) in hammer throw at the Jaguar Classic.
2015 Season: Competed unattached during both the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons • placed seventh in the shot put (14.76m, 48-05.25) and 11th in the discus (45.85m, 150-5) at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Slinger High School • four-time track & field letterwinner • 2014 and 2013 Wisconsin Division 1 state champion in the shot put and state runner-up in the discus • two-time WIAA all-state honoree in both the shot put and the discus • took fifth in the shot put and eighth in the discus at the state meet as a sophomore in 2012 • four-time Wisconsin Little Ten Conference champion in the shot put • two-time conference champion in the discus • owns Slinger school records in the shot put (46-2) and the discus (143-0) • two-year letterwinner in both volleyball and basketball • earned all-conference and all-area honors in basketball • National Honor Society and German National Honor Society member.
Personal: Born April 28, 1996 • daughter of Scott and Peggy Sabin • has two brothers, Daniel and Derek • studying pre-architecture • enjoys playing piano and guitar, drawing, painting and reading.
