Minnesota's mid-distance runners make up the majority of the Gophers competing this weekend

Docherty, Kayfes and Ferguson will captain the Gophers' 2014 distance crew
Minnesota featured 16 programs with at least one Distinguished Scholar Award winner for the 2012-13 academic year.
Todea-Kay Willis and Paige Orcutt earned event titles for Minnesota.
2013 Season - Indoor: Ran a season-best mile at the Parents Day Open, finishing fifth (5:03.61) competed in the 3,000m at the Bison Classic (10:32.29). Outdoor: Won the 3,000m steeplechase at the Meet of the Unsaintly best steeplechase time was 10:55.63 at the Alabama Invitational ran the 3,000m at the Musco Twilight (10:03.25).
2012 Season: Redshirted the 2011 cross country season and the 2012 indoor and outdoor track seasons.
High School: A 2011 graduate of Fayetteville High School high school coach was Michelle Fyfe team placed third in the state in her junior year and fourth during her senior year also participated in track and field and golf teams were state champions in both golf and track in her senior year two-time all-state runner part of the school record 4x800m relay team at the state championships National Honor Society and academic honor roll member.
