2016 Season - Indoor: Ran 10 races • placed 15th in the 600m in a career-best 1:33.25 at the Big Ten Championship • ran an indoor career-best 2:13.72 in the 800m at the Meyo Invite • ran third on the first-place 4x400m relay (3:49.38) at the Minnesota-Wisconsin Dual • ran the 400m leg of the third-place distance medley relay (11:28.26) at the Meyo Invite.
2016 Season - Outdoor: Named Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient and Academic All-Big Ten honoree • ran seven races • ran a career-best 2:10.72 in the 800m to place 12th at the Big Ten Championship • ran a career-best 57.84 in the 400m at the Mesa Classic • ran second on the third-place 4x800m relay at Drake Relays, finishing in 8:41.30 for the seventh-fastest time in program history • ran second on the third-place distance medley relay at Drake Relays, running 11:24.25 to rank sixth in program history • won the 800m (2:13.54) at the Hamline Invitational.
2015 Season - Indoor: Ran two races • took third in the 600m in a career-best 1:36.87 at the Parents Day Invite • ran a season-best 2:19.58 in the 800m at the Iowa State Classic.
2015 Season - Outdoor: Ran seven races • won the 400m in a season-best 59.08 at the Holst Invitational • ran a collegiate-best 2:13.96 in the 800m at the John McDonnell Invite • ran the 4x400m relay twice.
2014 Season - Indoor: Ran in seven races • ran season-best times of 1:38.70 in the 600m and 2:19.56 in the 800m • finished eighth in the 600m (1:38.70) at Parents Day Open • won the 600m (1:39.40) at UW-River Falls Invite • finished second in a season-best 2:19.56 in the 800m at the St. Thomas Showcase • ran the 4x400m relay at Northwest Open and distance medley relay at Parents Day Open.
2014 Season - Outdoor: Competed in six races, including five appearances in the 800m • recorded a season-best 59.78 in the 400m for third place at Holst Invitational • recorded season-best 800m at UW-La Crosse Open (2:17.87) • finished second in 800m at Hamline Invitational (2:19.58) • placed seventh in 800m at Carleton Relays (2:18.39) and fourth at Macalester (2:18.54).
2013 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
High School: A graduate of Esko High School • nine-time all-state honoree and 13-time Section 7A champion • five-time cross country state meet competitor • five-year All-Polar League runner • 2010 Minnesota Class A state champion in the 800 meters (2:15.59) • three-time conference champion in the 800m • part of both Esko's third-place 4x400m relay and fourth-place 4x800m relay as a junior and senior at the state meet • holds Esko school records and Polar League records in the 4x800m relay, 4x400m relay and 800m • captained third place state meet cross country team • recipient of the AAA Award • five-time academic all-state honoree • also a three-time letterwinner in soccer • graduated third in her class.
Personal: Born March 22, 1994 • daughter of Tom and Sue Shelerud • has a brother Joe and sister Jenna • majoring in nursing • enjoys camping, kayaking, fishing, and baking.
