Cross Country:Two-year squad member • ran five races in 2009.

High School:A 2008 graduate of Brookings High School • high school was John Iverson • a two-time all-state performer in cross country • competed in the 3,200 meters in three South Dakota Class AA state track championships • team MVP in both cross country and track • a six-year letterwinner in swimming, four letters in both cross country and track • a member of the National Honor Society.
