2015 Season - Indoor: Ran six races with three appearances each in the mile and 3,000m • placed second in the mile in a season-best 4:49.12 at the Minnesota-Wisconsin Dual • placed ninth in the 3,000m in a season-best 9:35.94 at Meyo Invitational • won the 3,000m (9:38.04) at the Minnesota Open • placed 12th in the 3,000m (9:38.29) and 18th in the mile (4:58.57) at Big Tens.
2015 Season - Outdoor: Ran four races • finished 12th in the 5,000m (17:20.13) at the Big Ten Championship • ran a career-best 16:35.98 in the 5,000m to place 11th at Drake Relays • placed third in the 1,500m in a season-best 4:31.40 at Musco Twilight • USTFCCCA All-Academic team honoree, Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
2014 Season - Indoor: Ran six races and set career-best times in the mile (4:46.94) and the 3,000m (9:29.20) • ran the Gophers' second-fastest mile of the indoor season in a career-best 4:46.94 for seventh place at the Big Ten championships • finished the indoor season as the eighth-ranked Gopher all-time in the 3,000m with a 9:29.20 for ninth place at the Big Ten championships • won the mile in 4:53.76 at the season-opening Northwest Open • finished second in the 3,000m at Jack Johnson Classic (9:39.61).
2014 Season - Outdoor: Did not compete • Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
2013 Season - Indoor: Finished eighth in the mile at the Big Ten Championships in 4:49.67 • season-best time of 4:47.84 came in the Big Ten prelims • won the 3,000m at the Bison Classic (9:48.59) • led off winning distance medley relays at the Meyo Invitational and Parents Day Open.
2013 Season - Outdoor: Finished 18th in the 1,500m at the Big Ten Championships (4:31.23) • finished 23rd in the 5,000m (16:59.15) at the Big Ten Championships • part of the runner-up 4x1600m relay at the Drake Relays • finished 11th in the 1,500m at Drake with a season-best time of 4:27.96 • won the 1,500m at the Musco Twilight • won the 3,000m at the Arkansas Invite (9:39.39).
2012 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
High School: A 2011 graduate of Roseville Area High School • high school coaches were Fred Kueffer and Mark Sotobeer • finished 25th in the state of Minnesota as a senior • lettered in cross country, soccer, Nordic skiing and track & field • all-conference and all-state in cross country, Nordic skiing and track & field • says her most memorable sports thrill was running a 4:59 mile • 2010 Minnesota state runner-up in the 1,600m • placed third in the 1,600m as a senior.
Personal: Born July 24, 1993 • major is strategic communications • daughter of Marybeth and Randall Dyson • mother ran cross country and track for Wisconsin • has two sisters, Katie and Emliy • Katie competed for the Gophers in cross country and track and field from 2007-2011 • cousin Ben Spencer was a kicker for the Gopher football team from 2009-2010 • enjoys playing the clarinet, reading, playing soccer and Nordic skiing.
