2014 Season - Indoor: Competed solely in the weight throw in five meets • recorded a season-best throw of 49-04.50 (15.05m) for seventh place at Parents Day Open • placed fourth at the St. Thomas Showcase (45-10.50, 13.98m).

2014 Season - Outdoor: Competed in the hammer throw at six meets • recorded season-best throw of 152-10 (46.58m) and finished eighth at Meet of the Unsaintly • earned five top-ten finishes • won the hammer (148-07, 45.29m) at Hamline Invitational.

2013 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.

High School: A 2012 graduate of Harlem High School (Machesney Park, Ill.) • high school coach was Julie Sorrentino • earned 12 varsity letters in four sports: track & field (four), basketball (four), swimming (three) and volleyball (one) • served as basketball, swimming and track team captain • three-time all-city honoree • two-time all-area, all-county and All-NIC Ten Conference honoree • earned all-state honors in 2011 • earned sportsmanship award in 2012 • two-time track team MVP • named Rockford Post Journal Female Athlete of the Year in 2011 • seven-time NIC-Ten Conference champion: shot put in 2010 and 2011, indoor shot put in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and discus in 2010 and 2011 • holds NIC-Ten Conference indoor shot put record • four-time NIC-Ten Conference Scholar Athlete • posted personal bests of 43-6 in the shot put, 135-10 in the discus, 130-1 in the hammer throw and 104-11 in the javelin • competed at the 2011 Junior Olympics, placing eighth in shot put, 11th in hammer and 14th in discus • qualified for 2011 USATF Nationals in shot put, discus, hammer and javelin • competed with Rockford Wild Cats traveling basketball team and independent United States Track & Field traveling track team • also played in the outfield with the Diamond Crushers traveling softball team • high honor roll member • PRIDE winner • graduated in top 10% of her class.

Personal: Born September 26, 1993 • daughter of Mary and Cecil Miller • has two siblings, Elizabeth and James • father Cecil played football at Bemidji State University • grandfather James Van Gorden played professional football for the Green Bay Packers in 1964 • intends to major in kinesiology • enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends, watching movies and cooking.
