2016 Season - Indoor: Competed at seven meets with four appearances in the shot put and seven in the weight throw • recorded a career-best throw of 17.64m (57-10.50) in the weight throw to place third at the Minnesota Open and move into eighth in Minnesota history • won both the shot put and weight throw at the UST Invite, posting a season-best throw of 13.04m (42-09.50) in the shot put and recording a first-place mark of 17.16m (56-03.75) in weight throw • ended the season ranked 10th in program history in the weight throw (17.64m, 57-10.50).
2016 Season - Outdoor: Named Academic All-Big Ten honoree • competed at seven meets with five appearances in the shot put and seven in the hammer throw • won the hammer throw with a career-best throw of 51.21m (168-00) at the Hamline Invitational • recorded a season-best throw of 12.88m (42-03.25) to place fourth in the shot put at the Tommie Twilight.
2015 Season - Indoor: Competed in the shot put and the weight throw and recorded career-best marks in both events • recorded a career-best throw of 13.24m (43-05.25) in the shot put to place sixth at the Minnesota Open • recorded a career-best throw of 15.85m (52-00.00) in the weight throw to place seventh at the St. Thomas Showcase.
2015 Season - Outdoor: Competed in the shot put, discus and hammer throw with career-best marks in all three events • placed third in the shot put with a career-best throw of 13.54m (44-05.25) at the Jaguar Challenge • recorded a career best of 43.61m (143-01) in the discus at the Triton Invitational • placed eighth in the hammer at the Eagle Open with a career-best mark of 49.10m (161-01).
2014 Season: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
High School: A 2013 graduate of Bemidji High School • high school track & field coach was Chris Lehman • two-time all-state honoree in track & field (2012, 2013) • track & field team placed fifth at the Minnesota Class AA State Meet as a senior • three-time state meet competitor in the shot put, placing 16th (34-6 1/4) as a freshman, 10th (38-6 1/4) as a junior and fifth (40-9 1/4) as a senior • two-time state meet competitor in the discus, placing seventh (136-9) as a junior and eighth (122-8) as a senior • two-time conference champion in shot put (2009, 2013) and discus (2012, 2013) • set Bemidji High School records in shot put (43-5) and discus (139-9) • four-year letterwinner in track & field, volleyball and hockey • earned all-section and all-conference honors in volleyball and hockey • two-time state-tournament participant in volleyball • team captain and MVP in volleyball and hockey • earned academic all-state honors in volleyball (three years), track & field (three years) and hockey (two years).
Personal: Born December 8, 1994 • daughter of Ernie and Shannon Heifort • has two siblings, Ernie and Gabe • brother Ernie plays football for the Gophers • father played football at Bemidji State from 1986-1990 • intends to major in medicine.
