The Minnesota women's tennis team will wrap up its fall season this weekend when it travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the Kitty Harrison Invitational Friday through Sunday. Hosted by North Carolina, it will be the fifth and final tournament of the fall season involving the team.
Minnesota will be joined in the round-robin-style tournament by host the host Tar Heels, Elon, Maryland, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, VCU, Virginia and William & Mary.
The Gophers will play two rounds of doubles and a round of singles Friday, one round of singles and one round of doubles Saturday, and will conclude play in the 2013 calendar year Sunday with a round of singles.
Entering the weekend, junior Tereza Brichacova and sophomore Jessika Mozia lead the team in singles wins with eight apiece. Brichacova is 8-2 after an impressive run to the quarterfinal round at the ITA Central Region Tournament in Norman, Okla. in the team's last tournament two weeks ago, while Mozia is 8-4 on the season.
Following the weekend, the Gophers will not play until the spring season begins in January. The Gophers season will start Jan. 19 when it welcomes both Eastern Michigan and Northern Iowa to the Baseline Tennis Center for matches.

The University of Minnesota women’s tennis team held their team banquet Sunday where they handed out team awards and celebrated the season.
Ryba Earns All-Big Ten Honors
Caroline Ryba was named to the All-Big Ten Team for the second time in her collegiate career and was also named the team's Sportsmanship Award recipient.
