Central Region Qualifying Brackets

The Minnesota women's tennis travels to Norman, Okla. this week to compete in the qualifying draw and the main draw of the ITA Central Region Championships. After a week off following the Northwestern Wildcat Invitational, the Gophers will send seven players to the qualifying draw who could potentially join two more Minnesota players in the main draw.

Julia Courter, Yuliana Umanets, Jessika Mozia, Maja Vujic, Paula Rincon Otero, Aria Lambert, and Kendall Heitzner will compete in the the qualifying draw, which begins Thursday morning.

They will be attempting to join teammates Natallia Pintusava and Tereza Brichacova in the main draw that begins later in the week. 

The 90-player (two players begin with a bye) bracket will begin with Courter facing Tulsa's Carol Benito, Vujic taking on South Dakota State's Jenny Blackburne, Heitzner against Hanna Sulz of Nebraska, Mozia versus Bradley's Sarah Rodefeld, Rincon Otero versus Madeline Jolly of St. Louis, Umanets against Lexi Aranda of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville and Lambert competing against Ffion Davies of South Dakota State.

Matches will begin at 8, 9, and 10 a.m.

The regional will be the last fall action until the Gophers travel to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the Kitty Harrison Invitational in November.
