Minnesota, ranked 52nd nationally, took their second win of the day with a dominant performance blanking the Panthers of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 7-0.
After taking the doubles point Minnesota started out singles strongly with Magdalena Wiecha at No. 4 singles sweeping Kari Kastenholz 6-0, 6-0. She was followed up by Alessandra Ferrazzi at No. 1 singles taking down Sammi Schoen with the same score of 6-0, 6-0 to put the Gophers up 3-0.
Peta Forsyth sealed the match with her win over the Panthers Beth Ganser at the No. 6 singles spot by a score of 6-2, 6-0. The next two matches continued in similar fashion with Tijana Koprivica winning by a score of 6-0, 6-2 over Megan Gow, and Jackie Sperling beating Kelly Fritz by a score of 6-, 6-0 at the No. 3 singles.
In doubles action the Gophers pairing of Koprivica and Sperling took down Gow and Schoneman 8-2 to start the night. It was then the pairing of Forsyth and Wiecha over Fritz and Kastenholz that gave the Gophers the doubles point.
