pointThe University of Minnesota women's tennis team defeated Iowa State, 6-1, to give the Gophers their second win in the spring season. The Golden Gophers won two of three doubles match to gain the point.

Michaela Havelkova won the No. 1 singles 6-4, 6-1, while Andrea Rose won 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 3 Singles. Valerie Vladea won 6-3, 7-5 against the Cyclones' Kristin Gyaki, 6-3, 7-5 and Kelly Perry won at the No. 5 Singles 6-2, 7-6 (7).

The Gophers will continue on the road against Drake for a 10:30 a.m. match. Minnesota will host Big Ten competition Wisconsin Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. at the Northwest Athletic Club in Bloomington, Minn.
