Only One Remains After Day Three in Tulsa
Pintusava notched a win today in the quarterfinals to advance to tomorrow's semifinal round.

On day three of the Women’s ITA Central Regional Tournament, Minnesota saw its numbers continue to narrow. The remaining doubles team fell in the third round to be knocked out of the tournament but one Gopher from the singles bracket remains in contention for the consolation prize.

Doron Muravnik and Tereza Brichacova dropped their third round match Oklahoma’s pair of Ritche and Brhane, 8-3 to close out their run in the singles main draw.

Over in the consolation bracket, two Gophers played to keep the Maroon and Gold active in the regional event. Aria Lambert met Veronika Blaskova (Wichita State) and came up short for a 6-3, 6-1 loss. Natallia Pintusava outlasted Wichita State’s Satjaporn Mahajaroenkul in an extended battle (6-1, 5-7(11-9)) to emerge as the Gophers’ lone remaining competitor.

Pintusava will compete in the semifinals tomorrow.
