Katy Coombe and sophomore Kate Hardt, who both earned first place finishes in multiple events.

Coombe finished first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.23 seconds and also in the 100 free in 52.05. Hardt captured first place in the 200 free with a time of 1:51:66 and in the 500 free in 4:59:09.

The Minnesota divers swept the top-three spots in the 1-meter diving. Abbie Bowden continued to perform well earning the top score of 282.23. Shannon Jackson earned a second place finish with a score of 273.23 and Rebecca Cornthwaite finished third scoring 270.53.

The Golden Gophers also captured the top finish in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. In the 200, Megan Moore, Katie Proell, Sarah Bohlsen, and Sarah Perrott swam a time of 1:46:95. Perrott also swam the 400 and was joined by Coombe, Hardt and Sara Vine finishing with a time of 3:30:00.

Look for the Golden Gopher swimming and diving team in action next weekend as they host the Minnesota Invitational at the University Aquatic Center.
