MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota swimming and diving squads unofficially opened up their 2017-18 campaign with the annual alumni meet and Minnesota Aquatics Hall of Fame induction, on Friday Sept. 29. A pair of inductees were honored, while current and former Golden Gophers shared the pool for exhibition events.
David Plummer and Haley Spencer were officially welcomed into the Aquatics Hall of Fame in a pool deck ceremony. Each were presented with a trophy commemorating the honor. Click here to read more about this year’s inductees’ accomplishments.
The Gophers’ first official meet of the season will be Saturday, Oct. 8 as they face off against Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla.
