The Minnesota women's swimming and diving team received Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America this week. Six Gophers received Scholar All-American awards while five received Scholar All-American Honorable Mention honors.
To qualify for the Scholar All-America team, an athlete must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and qualify for the national championships. In addition to these six individuals meeting criteria, Minnesota also received the Team Scholar All-American Award. This honor is presented to teams achieving a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 during both semesters.
Among the individual Scholar All-American list includes senior and nine-time All-American Ashley Steenvoorden, as well as diving All-American Maggie Keefer. A complete list of Minnesota's award recipients follows below.
